What is The Difference between JEE Main and JEE Advanced?
JEE Main and JEE Advanced are two different examinations that can be taken by students who want to pursue a course in engineering. Both of these exams, JEE Main and JEE Advanced, test the same pool of topics but in slightly different ways. The median scores required for admission into IITs is around 95%ile (98%ile for JEE Advanced) in the JEE Main exam while the cutoff score for admission into IITs through JEE Advanced is generally above 99%ile. Hence, it can be said that the JEE Advanced is a more difficult examination than the JEE Main.
